Empower Your Child

To be a leader of tomorrow

12 months ago on Universal Children’s Day, we launched Project Sunlight. This year, we will be taking on a series of challenges across the world to promote sustainable living. Each aims to address a different issue related to sustainability, and we’ll be working with passionate young people in each region. These people are our future leaders. The ones who will bring about a brighter future, and shape the world for generations to come.

We have always looked to our adult leaders as inspiration for change. The speeches they delivered acted as powerful forces for change. But when our inspirational leaders have gone, who will we listen to? Who will strive to create that positive change for the future?

Around the world, parents are inspired by the optimism and enthusiasm shown by their children. This year, on Universal Children’s Day, we’re giving the platform to new leaders. We’ve been inspired by 8 children from around the world tackling important issues in their own back yards. From hunger to hygiene, these new leaders are facing down age old challenges in ways we couldn’t have previously imagined.

This is why Unilever Project Sunlight is getting behind these new leaders. We believe that with our support, the difference they’re already making can be even greater.

Today, we’re asking you to rally around the new leaders. People like Rene in Brazil who with Unilever Project Sunlight's help is creating a greater awareness of water and hygiene issues; or Kylee in the USA who is now providing food to 167 children each week.
