Unilever believe that each and every one of us has the power to make a positive difference to the well-being of our planet. Launching June 25th 2015, Unilever Foundry IDEAS is a global community, presented by the Unilever Foundry to address and solve real world global challenges.
The crowdsourcing, collaborative and gamified platform presents challenges and invites participants to respond with idea-solving solutions. The best ideas will then have the opportunity of being realised to potentially improve the lives of millions, as well as help to protect the planet for future generations to come.
At Unilever, we know the best ideas don’t necessarily come from us. However, that does not mean that we should let them pass us by if they hold the power to make a real difference to the lives of millions. This is why Unilever is opening up to direct collaboration with the public through challenges and remarkable incentives, designed to attract purpose-driven solution seekers and talented entrepreneurs.
Foundry IDEAS unleashes the power of the crowd to co-create and vote for the best solutions they feel can make a real difference worldwide. The best solutions presented in relation to each Sustainability Challenge will be rewarded with opportunities for idea piloting and implementation, one-on-one mentoring with Unilever experts, and even ‘one of a kind’ experiences that will enable the winners to witness the progress and impact that Unilever are already making towards our 2020 sustainability goals.
Participants are encouraged to work on as many challenges as they wish, with exciting new challenges continuously presented. The first three ‘grand challenges’ will aim to improve and solve sustainability issues in the areas of sanitation, hygiene and nutrition. Unilever brands will play an active part in the incentive, with brands including Domestos and Knorr sponsoring individual challenges.
